Industry Presented Webinar: Protein Myths vs. Facts: What active individuals need to know about protein intake, timing and more

Sponsored by: Clif Bar & Company

Active individuals have higher protein needs than sedentary individuals. However, while many active people meet or exceed daily protein recommendations, they may not be distributing their protein intake appropriately throughout each day - missing an opportunity to optimize muscle protein synthesis and support metabolic adaptations to training. Join Dr. Mike Ormsbee as he dispels common myths about protein and discusses the latest research and recommendations on the amount, type, and timing of protein needed to maintain overall health, improve body composition and maximize exercise performance.

Presenter: Mike Ormsbee, PhD, CSCS, FISSN, FACSM

Mike Ormsbee is the Associate Director of the Institute of Sports Sciences and Medicine and an associate professor in the Department of Nutrition, Food and Exercise Sciences at Florida State University. From his days as an NCAA collegiate ice hockey player, to competing in 70.3 Ironman races, to helping others achieve their performance goals, he has always used evidence-focused training and nutrition strategies to optimize performance and body composition.
